Distance from the CBD
While Singapore is small, Bedok can feel a little far away from the CDB and depending on where you live in Bedok, a 30-minute straight bus or MRT ride will take you to Singapore’s centre. Driving will cut that travel down by half to around 17 minutes.
Shop
Like most areas in Singapore, Bedok boasts a number of shopping malls. While it won’t be the designer shops you might get on Orchard Road, shopping malls such as The Bedok Shopping Complex, Bedok Marketplace, Bedok Point and upmarket Bedok Mall cover most basic shopping needs.
A short drive or bus trip away, you’ll also find the popular Parkway Parade and Eastpoint Mall which are also popular one-stop-shops.
Eat
You're spoilt for choice with a fantastic offering of hawker food at Bedok Marketplace and Fengshan Market and Food Centre
See
East Coast Park and Bedok Reservoir are the neighbourhood’s two biggest natural attractions; you can enjoy free activities such as swimming and running, or pay for kayaking, yoga classes, the Forest Adventure aerial park and much more. There are also a number of golf and country clubs in the vicinity.
The downside
As a popular area for nature and outdoor lovers, Bedok does lack a thriving nightlife and also has a limited number of schools.
